Raipur, January 14, 2025/ The upliftment of the tribal community is among the top priorities of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He gave an opportunity to a tribal woman for the highest position in the country, the President. Today, the President of the country is a tribal, and the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh is also a tribal; this is a result of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision. “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas” is our government’s motto. Through this, with your cooperation, we will succeed in making Chhattisgarh a developed state under Vision 2047. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai made this statement while addressing the annual convention of the All India Kuar Samaj held in Pamasala, Jashpur district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh has a double-engine government. This allows people to benefit fully from the schemes of both the state and central governments. We have fulfilled most of Modi ji’s guarantees in the last year.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai stated that the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, has launched ambitious schemes like PM Jan Dhan, and Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Yojana for the overall development of the tribal community and to integrate them into the mainstream. He has taken care of every need of the tribals in these schemes, from education, health, nutritious food, employment, and housing. The Chhattisgarh government is rapidly benefiting the tribal community through these schemes. Our government is making every effort to bring prosperity and upliftment in the lives of all sections of society, along with the tribal community.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced ₹20 lakh for a snake park in Farsabahar, the establishment of Tapkara as a tehsil, and the leveling of the stadium in Pamasala. In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 507 development works costing ₹87 crore 31 lakh 98 thousand. This includes the foundation stone laying for 483 works costing ₹85.08 crore and the inauguration of 24 works costing ₹2.23 crore.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that on the second day of our oath-taking, in the first cabinet meeting, we immediately decided to benefit 18 lakh families of the state from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. We have increased the tendu leaf collection rate from ₹4000 to ₹5500 per standard bag. This has changed the lives of our tribal brothers. He said that we are procuring paddy in the state as per the guarantee of procurement at the rate of ₹3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre. We are making immediate payment of the support price to the farmers. The difference amount will also be deposited in their bank accounts as soon as the paddy procurement is completed.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said in the program that the tribal Kuar Samaj is rapidly progressing on the path of development. He said that a society that constantly reflects on its direction and condition, discusses among itself, removes malpractices, identifies obstacles to development, and strives to overcome them, cannot be stopped from progressing. He said that this is also an opportunity to share achievements, learn from each other’s experiences, and inspire each other.
Addressing the program, Smt. Gomati Sai of the Sarguja Tribal Development Authority announced ₹20 lakh for development works for the Kuar Samaj. In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai released the book ‘Social and Economic Development of Kuar Tribe’ and ‘Changing Abujhmarh and Other Stories’ written by retired IAS officer Shri Maheshwar Sai. Former MP Shri Nandkumar Sai, Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai, Kuar Samaj President Shri Bharat Sai, and many public representatives and dignitaries were present in the program.
