Raipur, January 14, 2025/ Lord Shri Ram resides in every particle of Chhattisgarh, in every person. Lord Shri Ram is our nephew Ram. Chattisgarh is the only state in the whole world where nephews are worshipped as the embodiment of God, their feet are washed, and they are greeted with prostrations. More than 20,000 people from the state have seen Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya through our government’s Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai made these remarks today at the inauguration of the three-day Tatapani Mahotsav in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that we come here every year for the Tatapani Sankranti festival. Last year, when we came here, we announced the development of this sacred place as a tourist destination. The result is before you all; today, the picture looks quite different. Development work has progressed rapidly here and is continuing. The Chief Minister said that there is immense potential in the tourism sector in Chhattisgarh. Especially in Sarguja and Bastar districts, there are many beautiful places that can become centers of attraction for the whole world. Such places are being identified, and the development of tourist sites is being expedited. Tatapani is one such place. We will develop all these scenic spots as tourist destinations. This will increase employment and income opportunities. We have just inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 198 development works worth ₹177 crore. This includes the foundation stone laying of 140 works costing approximately ₹134 crore and the inauguration of 58 works costing ₹43 crore. The Chief Minister said that today we have laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Nalanda campus, which will benefit young people preparing for competitive examinations. The Chief Minister also announced the construction of an auditorium at Balrampur College on this occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today, under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana, 300 daughters have been married. He blessed all the newlyweds and wished them a happy married life.
The Chief Minister said that the Tatapani Sankranti festival is the pride of Balrampur-Ramanujganj district. Tatapani is one of the select places in the world where the power of nature can be directly seen in the form of hot water springs. He said that this event of the Tatapani Sankranti festival also conveys a message of unity and harmony in society. In this festival, along with the presentations of folk artists, you will also be able to enjoy kite flying and parasailing at the Aragahi airstrip. There will also be a farmers’ seminar and a panchayat-sarpanch conference. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the visionary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has set a goal of building a developed India. In line with this, we are also moving forward with the goal of building a developed Chhattisgarh. In the last year, our government has fulfilled most of Modi’s guarantees. This year, the paddy crop in Chhattisgarh has been good. Paddy is being procured at a rate of ₹3100 per quintal, assuming 21 quintals per acre. This year, a record amount of money is going to come into the homes of the farmers. Right now, farmers are receiving the support price for paddy; the difference amount will also be sent to their accounts soon. Our government has also decided to provide free rations to poor families in the state for five years. We have increased the tendu leaf collection rate from ₹4000 to ₹5500 per standard bag.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that all eligible homeless families in Chhattisgarh are being provided with Pradhan Mantri Awas. On the second day of our government’s swearing-in, we approved 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas for the homeless in the state. He said that Union Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced more than 3 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for Chhattisgarh. He has agreed to provide 4 lakh new houses to Chhattisgarh in the next financial year. He said that in the new survey, the monthly income limit of beneficiaries has now been increased to ₹15,000.
