Raipur. Chhattisgarh Assembly Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant has written a letter to Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka to get the money back from the women who were victims of fraud. Mahant has said that non-banking financial companies have defrauded thousands of poor women and educated unemployed people of the state to the tune of crores of rupees, the victims should get their money back and the loans taken from banks in the name of investment should be waived off.
Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant has said that this chit fund is part 2 of BJP rule. Even during the previous BJP government, crores of rupees were looted from the common poor of the state in the name of chit funds, which the Congress government did to some extent to return the money to the poor. As soon as the BJP government is formed in the year 2023, chit fund companies have become active again. Poor, educated youth and women have been defrauded to the tune of thousands of crores in just one year. The looted public is upset, the BJP government is silent.
Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant has said in the letter that about 40 thousand women and educated unemployed youth of 10-12 districts of Chhattisgarh including Korba, Janjgir, Balod have been defrauded of more than thousands of crores of rupees by non-banking financial companies. These include Floramax Company of Korba, Saptarishi Institute of Balod and hundreds of non-banking financial companies. The victimized women and youth are fighting a street battle in a constitutional manner for their rights and refund of money. Mahant has asked the Governor in the letter to immediately direct the government to return the deposits of the affected women and educated unemployed on this serious matter and stop the recovery of loans taken from banks. Effective efforts should be made to strictly prevent recurrence of such incidents.
