Raghubar Das: Voting is going on for 43 seats under the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly Election from 7 am on Wednesday. Many big personalities, leaders of political parties and candidates on various seats have voted early in the morning at their respective booths.
Odisha Governor Raghubar Das arrived at the polling booth in East Jamshedpur area along with his family members to cast his vote. While talking to the media, he said, “It is the duty of a voter to vote in the great festival of democracy, today I have fulfilled my duty by voting with my family.
I appeal to all the people of Jharkhand to use their vote along with their families and also inspire the people around them so that our democracy becomes stronger. Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar exercised his franchise at the polling booth located at Shri Krishna Administrative Services Institute, Ranchi.
Talking to journalists after voting, he appealed to the people to vote. He said that all the voters of the state should participate in the voting process.
It is the duty of all of us to use our voting rights properly. The Governor said that you all must have seen that more and more people voted in Jammu and Kashmir. Similarly, voters of Jharkhand should also vote first and then do other work.

Voted to lead to a brighter future
Former Union Minister Arjun Munda exercised his franchise at his booth in Kharsawan assembly constituency.
He said, ‘I have voted to take the state towards a bright future, I hope that the people of Kharsawan will also vote in the same way’ Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh also said after casting his vote at a polling booth in Ranchi. Showed his inked finger and appealed to all the people to vote.
Union Minister of State for Defense and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, former Assembly Speaker and Ranchi BJP candidate CP Singh, JMM candidate and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Mahua Maji reached their respective booths in the morning and cast their votes.
On Koderma seat, BJP candidate and former minister Dr. Neera Yadav along with her family reached booth number 239 at Indarwa Jharitand and exercised her franchise. A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the voters regarding the use of franchise.
Compared to urban areas, longer queues are being seen at the booths in rural and Naxal affected areas. In the first phase of elections, a total of 15 thousand 344 polling stations have been set up on 43 seats. A total of 1.37 crore voters will write the fate of 683 candidates on EVMs.
Of these, the number of male voters is 68.73 lakh and the number of female voters is 68.36 lakh. The number of third gender voters is 303. The number of voters aged 18-19 years is 6.51 lakh.
