Famous film director Anurag Kashyap has announced to leave Mumbai. His 5 films are stuck even after being ready for release. Expressing his disappointment with Bollywood regarding this, he has given a big statement against the industry. He has claimed in an interview that the Hindi industry is busy earning profits instead of coming up with new ideas. They claim that no one in Bollywood can make a blockbuster like Pushpa 2 because they do not have the brains.

Bollywood can’t make Pushpa, she doesn’t have brain: Anurag Kashyap

Anurag Kashyap said, success of Pushpa 2 Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil starrer Pushpa 2 is the highest grossing Indian film till date. It has crossed the figure of Rs 775 crore in Hindi language alone. Despite new competitors like Baby John and Mufasa: The Lion King, the action thriller continues to dominate. Anurag Kashyap said about Bollywood industry that “They do not understand anything. They can’t even make flowers. They can’t make films because they don’t have the brain to make films. They don’t understand what filmmaking is. Only Sukumar can make Pushpa. In the South, they invest in filmmakers and empower them to make films.

Here, everyone is trying to create a universe. He said that Bollywood is currently focusing on horror-comedy or is busy creating the universe. YRF is currently working on the detective universe, while Maddock’s supernatural universe has started work on Thama after the blockbuster success of Stree 2. Rohit Shetty recently delivered Singham again in his police universe. Do they understand their own universe and how small they are in it? This is ego. When you create a universe, you think you are God. Amidst all this, Anurag feels that Bollywood does not want to take risks.

Know why Anurag Kashyap is leaving Bollywood

The director behind successes like Dev D, Gangs of Wasseypur and Manmarziyaan is no longer interested in working in Bollywood. Kashyap told that his five films are ready for release, but he is no longer in a position to struggle for the release of these films.

He said, “I don’t have that much strength left now. A film like Kennedy has been premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, but was not released in India. Now it is in the hands of those who have not made films till date.”

    distanced himself from Kennedy

Anurag Kashyap also told that he has distanced himself from his film Kennedy, because he did not want the film to reach a Black Friday-like situation. Kashyap said, “I will not let anything bring me down now. I have my own battles, but you can’t fight against a wall.”

    While active in South cinema

After being disappointed with Bollywood, Anurag Kashyap is active in South Cinema and has been a part of many films there, which include films like Leo, Maharaja, Rifle Club.
