Bollywood can’t make Pushpa, she doesn’t have brain: Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Kashyap said, success of Pushpa 2 Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil starrer Pushpa 2 is the highest grossing Indian film till date. It has crossed the figure of Rs 775 crore in Hindi language alone. Despite new competitors like Baby John and Mufasa: The Lion King, the action thriller continues to dominate. Anurag Kashyap said about Bollywood industry that “They do not understand anything. They can’t even make flowers. They can’t make films because they don’t have the brain to make films. They don’t understand what filmmaking is. Only Sukumar can make Pushpa. In the South, they invest in filmmakers and empower them to make films.
Here, everyone is trying to create a universe. He said that Bollywood is currently focusing on horror-comedy or is busy creating the universe. YRF is currently working on the detective universe, while Maddock’s supernatural universe has started work on Thama after the blockbuster success of Stree 2. Rohit Shetty recently delivered Singham again in his police universe. Do they understand their own universe and how small they are in it? This is ego. When you create a universe, you think you are God. Amidst all this, Anurag feels that Bollywood does not want to take risks.
