Prateek Chauhan/Gaurav Jain, Raipur-GPM. There was a stir due to smoke rising near Bhilai railway station in the train going from Visakhapatnam to LTT (Lokmanya Tilak Terminus). Rumors spread among the passengers that the train was on fire, but after a while it became clear that the train was not on fire.
After the train reached Durg, railway officials and employees investigated it, after which it was found that smoke had come out due to overheating of the flywheel, which according to the Railways is a normal incident. After checking the train at Durg station, it was dispatched.
On the other hand, a conspiracy to derail train 20807 Hirakud Express in the tunnel near Pendraroad railway station has come to light. According to highly placed sources of Railways, drain slabs were placed at three different places on the railway track inside the tunnel (called Bogda in local language) in the up line between Bhanwartank-Khodri. Pendraroad RPF is investigating who placed this. This incident is being reported on 29th at 12:30 pm. The loco-pilot of Hirakud Express train saw this incident and informed the higher authorities about the matter. A major accident was averted due to the intelligence of the loco pilot.
For information, let us tell you that railway employees keep constant monitoring inside the tunnel. Despite that, placing stones on the railway track could be a suspicion of some conspiracy. This area is surrounded by mountains and dense forests. However, deliberately placing stones on the railway track was extremely dangerous. It is very important to find out who did the mischief.
Due to this, train number 20807 (Hirakud Express) remained standing at the spot. Apart from this, 18247 Rewa Express and 12853 Amarkantak Express passing through the same track remained standing for about one to two hours.
