The ambulance is attached to a private hospital in Raigarh district. The accused had already taken Dodachura from Mandsaur to Maharashtra six times in the same manner.

SP Amit Kumar told the press conference that on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday, information was received that two youths were going from Mandsaur district in an ambulance (MH-06-BW 5365) filled with sacks of Dodachura towards Maharashtra via Javra, Ratlam, Badnawar. . On this, the police team reached Sejawta Fante of four lane and blocked it.

After some time, when the ambulance arrived, he was stopped. The accused driver Ranjeet Modeke and his companion Rupesh Mane, both residents of village Tala, district Raigarh (Maharashtra), were taken into custody and the back gate of the ambulance was opened and checked and 42 plastic bags were found in it. All the sacks were filled with sawdust.

Search for ambulance owner

A case has been registered against accused Ranjeet and Rupesh under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act. During preliminary interrogation, the accused told that both of them were drivers and were taking Dodachura from near Sitamau in Mandsaur district to Maharashtra. The ambulance owner is being searched. Inquiries are being made regarding who had ordered Dodachura.
