S Jaishankar On India-China Border Agreement: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has expressed his views on the recent border (LAC) agreement with India-China. Jaishankar said at an event in Pune, “Under the agreement reached on October 21 (withdrawal of troops), patrolling will be done in Depsang and Demchok. With this we will now be able to consider the next step. It is not that everything has been resolved. However, this is the first phase of withdrawal of troops and we have been successful in reaching that stage.
