Naidunia Representative, Shajapur: Three Muslims forcibly offered Namaz in the premises of Ram Mandir located in a village in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh, all three are brothers. They did not agree even when the temple priest stopped them. On the complaint of the priest, the police have registered an FIR against the three for inciting religious sentiments. According to the police, Omprakash Sharma, the priest of Ram temple in village Kiloda of Salsalai police station area, has lodged a complaint of forcibly offering Namaz by entering the temple premises.

Offered Namaz in the temple courtyard

The incident is of 25th October. According to the priest, he was preparing for the puja by cleaning the temple at around 5.45 pm. It is alleged that in the meantime Babu Khan, Rustam Khan and Akbar Khan of the village came to the temple. All three washed their hands and feet with pot water at the door of the temple and offered namaz in the temple courtyard.

The priest says that the three did not ask for any permission to offer namaz. He asked all three to offer namaz but all three did not listen. After forcibly offering Namaz, all three left from there. The three offering Namaz are said to be brothers.

Case registered against all three

Salasalai police station in-charge Janak Singh Rawat said that on the complaint of the priest, an FIR has been registered against the three under Section 298, 3(5) of the Indian Justice Code 2023 for hurting religious sentiments by offering namaz in the temple premises. Police will investigate the matter and take further action.
