Let us tell you that Devlal Pando had lodged a report at Wadrafnagar police post on October 18, in which he had said that while returning from his aunt’s house in Kotrahi on the night of October 16, Vikram Pando was assaulted by four bike-riding unknown assailants. Fearing the fight, Vikram had said that he would run towards the forest and somehow come home to save his life. But there were so many contradictions in Devlal Pando’s statement that he soon told the true story during police interrogation.

According to the police, Devlal Pando and deceased Vikram Pando were coming through the forest on the night of 16 October after stealing a goat from Kotrahi village. Meanwhile, Vikram Pando and the stolen goat died on the spot after coming in contact with the electric wire laid for hunting. Devlal, who was injured by the wire, somehow managed to reach home.

When Vikram did not reach home for two days, his family members came to Vikram for questioning, to mislead him he fabricated a story of assault by unknown assailants and repeated the same story while filing a police report. But because the story had no head and legs, it could not last long and the reality came out. After recovering Vikram’s body from the forest, the police is now waiting for the PM report to get to the bottom of the incident.
