Mahadev Satta App: Actress Tamannaah Bhatia appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Guwahati on Thursday to face questioning in the illegal betting case related to IPL. He was summoned for encouraging people to watch IPL matches on a subsidiary app of Mahadev Online Gaming. Tamanna reached the ED office with her mother at around 1:30 pm, where her interrogation continued till the end of the afternoon.
The focus of the investigation is a betting exchange platform called FairPlay, which was promoted by Tamannaah. This platform offers different types of gambling and is part of the Mahadev app, which is infamous for illegal betting. Mahadev app has already embroiled many Bollywood celebs in controversies, including Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
According to officials, the Mahadev app provides a platform for illegal betting on sports like cricket, football, and poker. Many other celebrities have also been called for questioning.
Meanwhile, last year Sahil Khan was also arrested in similar cases, while Shraddha and Ranbir Kapoor are also under investigation. The ED action is aimed at controlling illegal online betting in India, and new revelations are likely to emerge as the investigation progresses.
Tamanna’s appearance has once again exposed the dark sides of betting, and is causing a stir in the entertainment industry. All eyes are now on the next action of ED.
