Complaint lodged in the police station against MLA Ishwar Sahu’s son, tribal society warns of agitation if action is not taken

Yogesh Singh, Bemetra. Tribal society has filed a complaint in Saja police station against Krishna Sahu, son of Saja Assembly MLA Ishwar Sahu. He has been accused of assault and abusing along with making derogatory caste remarks. The tribal society has also submitted a letter to the Collector regarding this matter and has warned of agitation if action is not taken.

It has been told in the complaint letter that on October 13, during the Dussehra program in village Chechanmetta, there was a dispute between Manish’s friend Rahul and MLA’s son Krishna Sahu at 11 pm. When Manish intervened, the MLA’s son used caste based abuses and hit him with his wrist. In the fight, there were about ten other people along with the MLA’s son, who beat up Manish and his friend Rahul.

The president of tribal Gond community has also complained to the SDM regarding this matter. He has alleged that TI Saja told the tribal youth not to file a report in the case of assault under the pressure of MLA Ishwar Sahu and threatened him by asking for a compromise.

In this matter, Bemetara SP Ramakrishna Sahu said that a complaint has been received against the MLA’s son. The police is investigating the matter.
