Iran Israel War: The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has created a situation of tension in the countries of the Middle East. In recent times, Israel has continuously attacked Iran’s allies, which has created panic in Islamic countries. Last month, an Israeli airstrike killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and earlier in July, Hamas chief Ismail Haniya was also killed. These incidents have raised questions on Iran’s security, due to which suspicion has increased on Brigadier General Ismail Kani, the head of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). It is being said whether he committed betrayal by helping Israel.

Interrogation of Brigadier General Ismail Kani

According to media reports, 67-year-old Brigadier General Ismail Kani has been kept under house arrest. He is being interrogated in connection with the death of Hassan Nasrallah, which is taking place under the supervision of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Kani has not been seen in public since the death of Hassan Nasrallah and his team is also being interrogated.

Hezbollah and Israel attacks

On September 27, Israel killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah through an air strike in Beirut. After this, on October 4, Israel targeted Hezbollah’s successor Hashem Saifuddin with a missile in a bunker. These incidents have raised serious questions on the security arrangements of Iran and Hezbollah and how Israel got information about these secret places.

Qani’s role in Lebanon

Ismail Kani and other IRGC commanders had reached Lebanon after the death of Hassan Nasrallah, but could not be contacted after the death of Saifuddin. After this, speculations regarding Kani intensified. However, a senior IRGC official said that Qani is fine and performing his regular duties, but he will be kept under house arrest until the investigation is completed.
