75 crores will have to be spent to retain 5 players
Teams will have to spend Rs 75 crore to retain 5 players. 2 players can be worth Rs 18-18 crore, 2 players can be worth Rs 14-14 crore and one player can be worth Rs 11 crore. This time the purse limit of the teams has been increased to Rs 120 crore, last time it was Rs 100 crore.
Rs 5 lakh will be given separately for each match
A player playing a match in IPL will now get Rs 5 lakh separately. This will be given in addition to their salary. BCCI has announced this. This is going to happen for the first time in the history of IPL. This will benefit uncapped players, whom teams buy at low base prices.
