Chhattisgarh coal scam: Bailable warrant issued against 8 accused including former MLA, petition of Saumya and Devendra Yadav rejected

Shivam Mishra, Raipur. The investigation of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Chhattisgarh’s much talked about coal scam is progressing rapidly. The ED has filed a chargesheet against all the accused, after which the special court has framed charges against eight of them for presenting arguments. These accused include former MLA Chandra Dev Rai, Vinod Tiwari, Rampratap Singh, Manish Upadhyay, Piyush Sahu, Narayan Sahu, Navneet Sahu and Rajnikant Tiwari.

The special court has issued bailable warrants against all of them and fixed October 26 for hearing. Meanwhile, Congress MLA Devendra Yadav could not appear in court today. His lawyer informed the court that Yadav is currently in jail, due to which he could not appear in person. All other accused, who are in jail, were produced through video conferencing.

Apart from the coal scam case, the bail plea of ​​former suspended constable accused Bhim Singh Yadav in the state’s much talked about Mahadev online betting app case was also heard today. During this, the decision was reserved after about 3 hours of debate in the special court. The special court has rejected the bail plea of ​​accused Bhim Singh Yadav. Let us tell you that the date of hearing in the Mahadev betting app case has been fixed in the special court after two days.

The petition of Saumya Chaurasia and Devendra Yadav was dismissed

Let us tell you that earlier on Monday, the anticipatory bail petition filed by former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s suspended Deputy Secretary Saumya Chaurasia, accused in the much talked about coal scam, was rejected. Saumya Chaurasia had filed an anticipatory bail petition in the disproportionate assets case in ACB/EOW. Apart from this, a ten-year-old case of Congress MLA Devendra Yadav was also heard. During this, the bail petition filed by Devendra Yadav has also been rejected.
