15 month old grandson started playing with a broken electric cable, grandmother who went to save him also got electrocuted, both died

In Kheroli village of Amaiyan, on Monday morning at 5:30 a 15 month old child started playing with a broken electric cable lying outside the house and got electrocuted. When the grandmother went to rescue him, she also got electrocuted. Due to this, the grandson and grandmother died due to electrocution.

According to the information, 40-year-old Brij Kishore, son of Diwan Singh Sikarwar, a resident of Kherauli, said that his house is built in the village. Late on Sunday night, the electric cable broke and fell on the ground in front of the house.

On Monday morning at 5:30, his aunt Babli went to feed the cattle in the enclosure near the house, his 15-month-old nephew Munendra Singh, son of Udayveer Singh Sikarwar, also followed her on his knees. When neighbour Kalyan Singh saw the incident, he informed them.

After this, both were taken to the hospital. Here the doctor declared them dead. After this, the police was informed. The police registered a case and sent the bodies of the grandmother and grandson to Mehgaon Hospital for postmortem.

Villagers allege that they informed about the cable breakage but the workers did not come

Raju Sikwar, Sarpanch of Kheroli Panchayat, says that the information about the cable breakage was immediately given to the employees of the electricity company at the Amayan sub-station, but the employees did not come on time to connect the cable. If the cable had been connected, this accident would not have happened. The deceased child was alone in the house. He has an elder sister Mishti who is four years old. It is said that on Sunday, the in-charge minister Prahlad Singh Patel also reached Kachpura of Kheroli Panchayat to meet the flood victims.

A 15-month-old child and a woman died after coming in contact with an electric cable in Kherauli. The bodies have been handed over to their relatives after post-mortem.
