Naiduniya, Jabalpur (Jabalpur News). Passengers were surprised to see a tractor running on platform number two of the main railway station at around 7 pm on Tuesday night. They could not understand why a tractor was running on the platform where passengers and trains used to stand till yesterday.
Meanwhile, instead of a train, a JCB was running on the tracks. Although the JCB was digging up the tracks, it was beyond understanding why the tractor came on the platform. Meanwhile, the movement of trains continued on platforms two and three, in which hundreds of passengers were standing on the platform to answer the questions.
No officer or employee associated with the station management was present on the spot
The engineering department of Jabalpur Railway Division is carrying out the work of making washable aprons, but the contractor to whom the department has given the work drove the tractor on the platform instead of the track.
Neither the passengers nor the railway officials understood this. However, seeing the tractor running on the platform, no officer or employee from the station management was present on the spot to stop it.

Instead of understanding the problems of passengers during the festival season, Jabalpur division has cancelled and extended the duration of more than two dozen trains, which has made the journey of thousands of passengers to reach their destination difficult. People who travel daily here have also been completely affected by this decision of the railways. They too will now go to duty by private vehicle or by road.

Passengers’ dissatisfaction with railways increased
Passengers protested against the closure of platform number two during the festival season. Vijay Patel, a passenger travelling from Jabalpur to Satna, said that Jabalpur Railway Division remembers work only during the festival season. Vinod Jaiswal said that the engineering department of the railways did not get any better opportunity than this to collect money.
While the quality of the washable apron on the platform track was not bad, yet it was uprooted and work was started in a hurry to spend crores. If any accident happens during this, who will be responsible for it?
Condition of the main railway station
Passengers are standing in long queues due to cancellation of trains, but are not getting the correct information. Passengers’ reservations in trains have been cancelled, they are travelling with general tickets. The passengers coming and going on the platform are neither being checked nor questioned. Those leaving their passengers are not even being questioned, suspicious luggage is also coming in. Both legal and illegal vendors are roaming around on the platform, no one is stopping them.
