Navdunia representative, Rajgarh. Due to the continuous rainfall in the district, the water level of the reservoirs is also increasing continuously. Intermittent rainfall has been continuing in the district for the last several days. Due to which the water level of the dams has increased continuously. In such a situation, the water level was maintained by opening the gates of the dams. Due to the rain since morning on Wednesday, water was released by opening 10 gates of the main Mohanpura dam of the district in the afternoon, while two gates each of Bankpura, Kushalpura and Mundla dams were opened.
It is noteworthy that this year the district has witnessed good rainfall. Meanwhile, once again heavy rainfall has been continuing since 6 pm on Tuesday. After the rain stopped at night, heavy rainfall started again from Wednesday morning. Compared to last year, much more rainfall has occurred so far. Heavy rainfall was witnessed in many areas of the district on Tuesday-Wednesday. Due to which not only the rivers in the district, but also the water level of the dams increased. To maintain the water level to the prescribed limit, 10 gates of Mohanpura dam were opened. Two gates each of Bankpura, Kushalpura and Mundla dams were opened. The water level of the main rivers of the district Ajnar, Nevaj, Kalisindh is continuously increasing.
People of the river area were alerted
Even before opening the gates of the dams, the administration alerted the citizens living on the river banks and those commuting there that the gates of the dam are being opened, so stay away from the rivers and flood-affected areas. Do not move on the banks of the rivers. Do not cross the rivers. The nearby villages have also been alerted for this, so that no accident occurs.
Highest rainfall in Biaora, lowest in Rajgarh
In terms of the water that has fallen in the district so far, the highest rainfall has occurred in Beawar, while the lowest rainfall has been recorded in Rajgarh tehsil. More water than the average has fallen in Beawar. 1525 mm of rainfall has been recorded here, while the lowest rainfall of only 600 mm has occurred in Rajgarh. Jirapur tehsil is in second place, where 1445 mm of rainfall has been recorded. The average rainfall of the district is 1100 mm. So far, 1084 mm of rainfall has occurred in the district.
