Now 18 year old daughters will also get the benefit of Maiya Samman: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Under the Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana, about 70 crore rupees were transferred to the accounts of 7,04,927 women of five districts on Wednesday. A program was organized at the training ground in Namkum to give the honorarium to the women of Ranchi, Khunti, Simdega, Lohardaga and Gumla of South Chotanagpur division.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren made a big announcement. He said – Now girls will be given the benefit of this scheme from the age of 18 instead of 21. The government will take an official decision on this within two-three days. Till then, girls of this age should submit applications in the camps being organized across the state under the Government at Your Doorstep program. As soon as the decision is taken, Rs 1000 will be credited to their account every month. The CM said that the Jharkhand government is helping the girl from birth to death with some scheme or the other. Till the age of 18, they are getting benefits from Savitri Bai Phule and other schemes. From the age of 21, the benefit of Mainiya Samman Yojana and then Sarvajan Pension Yojana is being received. Only girls between 18 and 20 years were not getting the benefit of any scheme. To overcome this gap, the government has reduced the age limit under this scheme. He again reiterated that in the next five years, the government will give one lakh rupees to every family.
