Nitin Namdev, Raipur. Local residents protested outside Shriram Wholesale Vegetable Market located in Doomratari area of Raipur today. People of Vardhman Nagar Colony took to the streets to protest against illegal parking, illegal encroachment, and the filth created by rotten vegetables being thrown on the roadside.
The protesters included elderly people, women, and children, who accused the Municipal Corporation and the Zone Office of not taking any concrete action despite complaints. The residents of Vardhman Nagar say that they have been facing this problem for a long time, but no attention is being paid to their complaints.
The colony residents say that if this problem is not resolved soon, they will stage violent protests in the coming days. People said that complaints have been lodged several times in the Municipal Corporation and Zone Office, but no action has been taken. We are all forced to take to the streets.
