Amroha. A young man lost his life due to superstition in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. A young man was bitten by a snake in Allipur Milk village of Kotwali Hasanpur area. The family members kept on doing exorcism instead of taking him to the hospital. The young man died in agony due to lack of treatment.
The incident is said to have happened on Thursday night. 25-year-old Amit was coming down from the roof. During this time, a snake bit him in the courtyard. His condition became critical due to the snake bite. The family first took him to a witch doctor, but there was no improvement in his condition.

After this, he was admitted to a private doctor in the city. Seeing his critical condition, the doctor referred him to Meerut. Amit was declared dead during treatment in Meerut. Medical Superintendent of Community Health Center Dr. Dhruvendra Pratap Singh said that if proper treatment had been given on time, the young man’s life could have been saved.
