Naiduniya representative, Gwalior. The smart toilets being built in the city under the second phase are again in controversy. Due to the negligence of the engineers, the tiles located in Bal Bhavan were found to be flexible and the quality of stones was poor, while on the other hand, the company is now using these toilets arbitrarily.
The company, after completing the construction of the smart toilet built near Achleshvar, not only allotted it to a restaurant before handing it over to the corporation, but also started promoting it in the name of Masala Lab.
On getting information about the matter, Smart City CEO Neetu Mathur not only issued a notice to the company, but also warned it to start the kitchen or restaurant only after the handover, but on Sunday, preparations are being made to open the kitchen again by opening the restaurant. According to Abhishek Tripathi, Deputy Engineer of the Corporation, a notice was issued to the company earlier. Now the advertisement will be covered after checking again.
Pune based company is doing the construction on PPP model
In the first phase, the corporation spent about Rs 4.5 crore for 10 toilets. In the second phase, toilets are being built on the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. Pune’s Ashoka Developers will spend its own money to build these toilets. After handover, these toilets will be allotted by the company itself and the rent will be collected. The corporation will get only Rs 3000 to Rs 3500.
Construction is going on in these places
At present, construction of toilets has been completed at Hajira Chowpatty, near Hajira Square, Chawri Bazaar, near Achaleshwar Temple, Jal Vihar, Chhatri Mandi. Construction work is still going on at Bal Bhavan, Gajra Raja Medical College, Thousand Bed Hospital and Collectorate Road.
