The Buckingham Murders: The teaser of Kareena Kapoor’s upcoming film The Buckingham Murders was released on Tuesday. Recently the poster of the film was released and today the makers have released the teaser and said that it will be released in theatres on 13 September. In the crime thriller film, Kareena is shown as a detective investigating the murder of a child.
The film premiered at the 67th BFI London Film Festival in 2023. The teaser opens with a scene of a child walking in a park in London, while a voice over asks about the joining date of a new detective. Kareena soon appears on the screen. The next scene shows her scuffling with a man on the street, as the voiceover describes her as “very tough”. Next, scenes of a child’s blood-stained T-shirt are shown, revealing the disappearance of a child from an Indian family. Kareena is then seen interrogating a suspect about the murder.
Kareena is also the co-producer of the film directed by Hansal Mehta. Talking about her role in the film, Kareena said, I loved playing this role because this is the first time I am playing the role of a detective. I am a big fan of crime dramas. This is a career-defining role for me and one of my best characters. Apart from Kareena, the film stars many great actors including Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar and Keith Allen. The Buckingham Murders will release in theaters on September 13.
