Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has supported the Bharat Bandh tomorrow on 21st August. In this regard, a letter has been issued by JMM Central General Secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey on Tuesday. This letter has been issued to all the office bearers, members, district presidents, district secretaries and district coordinators of the central committee.
It has been said through this letter that the decision given by the Supreme Court on the classification of SC-ST reservation is an obstacle in the path of the upliftment and strengthening of the SC-ST society. Social organizations have decided to observe a complete Bharat Bandh on 21st August from 6 am to 8 pm in protest against the decision.
The leadership has decided to actively support the Bharat Bandh programme. Through the letter, all the office bearers and members of the Central Committee, District President, District Secretary and District Convener have been instructed to actively support the Bharat Bandh. It is worth mentioning that all the organisations associated with the All India Scheduled Castes Mahasabha have called for a Bharat Bandh on the 21st over the decision to implement sub-classification and creamy layer in the reservation of Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
The Jharkhand unit of the All India Scheduled Mahasabha, Scheduled Caste Coordination Committee, Paswan Welfare Committee, Sant Gadge Institute, Sant Supan Mahasabha, All India Dhobi Mahasabha, All India Bhuiya Mahasabha, All India Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Committee and other organizations have called for a bandh.
