Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will be on a tour of Madhya Pradesh today. CM Sai will leave for Ujjain at 8:20 am. After reaching Ujjain, the Chief Minister will visit Baba Mahakal. During this visit, CM Sai will also meet MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. CM Sai will meet CM Mohan Yadav at Ujjain Circuit House. After that Chief Minister Sai will return to Raipur at 1:45 pm.
Due to Bharat Bandh, Congress changed the date of demonstration
Congress had planned a protest against the arrest of Congress MLA Devendra Yadav. This protest was scheduled to be held on August 21, but due to Bharat Bandh, the Pradesh Congress Committee has postponed it to August 24. Apart from this, on August 22, the Congress party will surround the ED (Enforcement Directorate) office, which will be done in connection with the revelations of the Hindenburg report.
Brijmohan Agrawal became member of Parliament’s Estimates Committee
MP Brijmohan Agarwal has been appointed as a member of the Estimates Committee of the Lok Sabha. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has announced the Estimates Committee for the year 2024-25. In which Brijmohan Agarwal has been appointed as a member of the committee. The Estimates Committee is a committee of selected members of Parliament. Which is constituted by the Lok Sabha. Its purpose is to examine the functioning of government ministries and departments in terms of expenditure and use of money. It also gives suggestions on alternative policies for efficiency and economy in administration.
Rakshabandhan will be celebrated in Central Jail
Today, Raksha Bandhan festival will be celebrated across the country. Raksha Bandhan will also be celebrated in Raipur Central Jail. Thousands of sisters have registered to tie Rakhi on the wrists of their brothers in jail. Keeping security in mind, sisters can only take Rakhi inside the jail. The time given for Rakhi is from 8 am to 4 pm. The jail management itself will arrange for all the necessary materials.
Art exhibition today on World Photography Day
On the occasion of World Photography Day (19 August), an exhibition of ancient black and white photography is being organized at Kala Vithika on Monday. The exhibition will be inaugurated by senior artist Sumanesh Vats at 6 pm. The exhibition will display 51 black and white photography works of more than 25 photographers including Durgesh Kumar, Raghav Sharma, Ishwar Sahu, Neha Chawda, Naveen Kumar Verma, Shaswat Gopal, Dilip Raheja, Amit Chauhan, Dr. Praveen Sharma.
Varsi Festival
Aarti will be held at Durga Mata Mandir at 8.30 am as part of the 56th anniversary celebration of Swami Harigir Maharaj being held at Swami Harigir Maharaj Dharamshala in Telibandha. Durga Paath will conclude with a havan. A procession will be taken out from Dharamshala to Samadhi Saheb at 10 am.
