Shri Krishna Janmashtami 2024: Important information about the Mangala Aarti held once a year in Banke Bihari temple, the administration took this decision

Mathura. On Shri Krishna Janmashtami (Shri Krishna Janmashtami 2024), only one thousand devotees will be able to attend the Mangala Aarti held once a year at the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan. The Divisional Commissioner has taken this decision after the accident that happened last time. At the same time, arrangements will also be made for other devotees to have darshan.

Divisional Commissioner Ritu Maheshwari in Mathura said that the premises and the area around the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan is narrow. It is a challenge to control the crowd of lakhs of devotees coming here from all over the country. Therefore, like last year, this year also one thousand devotees will participate in the Mangala Aarti of Banke Bihari temple on Shri Krishna Janmashtami.

After Mangala Aarti, other devotees will be able to have darshan of the Lord. To avoid inconvenience to the devotees, he has instructed to mark the dark spots and make lighting arrangements. He has asked to run a campaign to remove encroachment from the roads of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Vrindavan. Apart from this, he has instructed the Electricity Corporation officer to ensure uninterrupted power supply for 24 hours during Janmashtami.
