Betul News: Cows were being smuggled in a vehicle, two died of suffocation

Cows were being smuggled in a cargo vehicle.

Cows were being smuggled by hiding them under sacks. Workers of the Rashtriya Hindu Sena reached the spot upon receiving information. When an attempt was made to stop him, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled.

Once again, the attempt of cow smuggling was foiled due to the alertness and activism of Rashtriya Hindu Sena. 10 cows were being cruelly stuffed in a cargo vehicle and taken to a slaughterhouse in Maharashtra. Scared by the joint action of Hindu Sena and police, the smugglers abandoned the vehicle on the village’s kutcha road and fled. Two cows died of suffocation in the vehicle, while eight were injured.

Sent to Triveni Gaushala

After providing treatment to all the cows, they were taken to Triveni Gaushala. State President of Rashtriya Hindu Sena Deepak Malviya said that at around 2 o’clock in the night, information was received that cows were being smuggled in a cargo vehicle from Chicholi-Chirapatla area.

He told that when an attempt was made to stop the vehicle at Gadha Toll Plaza, the driver broke the barrier and fled. The smugglers abandoned the vehicle on the unpaved road of Modi village near Khedi and fled. The vehicle was covered with tarpaulin and sacks were filled with straw.

The cattle were hidden by placing a board underneath

When the sacks were removed, it was found that the cattle were hidden by placing planks underneath. The four legs and mouths of the cattle were tied with ropes, due to which two cattle died. Other cattle were seriously injured. Khedi Chowki police have registered a case against unknown smugglers and seized the goods carrier vehicle without number.
