In the case of the death of nine children due to the wall collapse during the construction of a Shivling in Shahpur on Sunday, the Noise Control Act was also not followed. When the wall collapse incident happened, a DJ was being played at a high volume at the spot. After the accident, the screams of the children were also drowned in the loud volume of the DJ. Due to this, the children could not get help in time.
The wall started shaking due to loud noise
People say that as soon as the temple committee played DJ in the morning, a part of the house collapsed. One reason for the accident was the loud sound of the DJ. Due to this, the dilapidated wall started shaking and collapsed.
According to councillor Raja Yadav, the wall was made of mud and was very old. It had become weak due to continuous rain. The wall collapsed due to the loud sound of the DJ system and increased vibrations. According to people, the mud house was supported by bamboo and beams, which were gradually weakening. When the wall collapsed due to rain and loud sound of DJ, the children started screaming, but the sound could not reach outside.
The elderly man first reported the wall collapse
65-year-old Kishori Lal Vishwakarma, who was present at the spot, was also injured. When he came out, other people came to know about the accident and rescue work could begin. Kishori Lal Vishwakarma, admitted in the district hospital, says that even after getting injured, he came out controlling himself and informed the people, only then the work of removing the children from the debris of the wall began.
Advocate Jagmohan Singh Lodhi says that the DJ used to start playing at a high volume from 5 am onwards. This DJ used to play till late night. If it was played at standard volume, such a big incident would not have happened.
