Lucknow. BJP’s ally party Apna Dal president and Union Minister Anupriya Patel has openly opposed the Nazul Land Bill. She has demanded the withdrawal of this bill. Anupriya did not stop at this. She has also demanded action against the guilty officials. The Nazul Land Bill has become a burden on the BJP government of UP.
It was passed in the Vidhan Sabha amidst opposition from BJP’s own MLAs. But in the Vidhan Parishad, BJP President and MLC Bhupendra Chaudhary opposed the bill and sent it to the Select Committee and did not let it pass. At present, the bill has been stopped. But in two months, when the Select Committee submits its report, this bill can come again.
The Uttar Pradesh government should immediately withdraw this bill and strict action should be taken against those officials who have misled in this matter.

Anupriya has written on X that ‘The Nazul Land Bill has been sent to the Select Committee of the Legislative Council for discussion today. Regarding the Nazul Land Bill brought without extensive discussion, I clearly believe that this Bill is not only unnecessary but is also against the sentiments of the common man.’
He further wrote that ‘The Uttar Pradesh government should immediately withdraw this bill and strict action should be taken against those officials who have misled in this matter.’
Bill is being brought for personal benefit- Akhilesh
Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has also opposed this bill. MP Akhilesh Yadav has targeted CM Yogi without naming him regarding the Nazul land bill. Akhilesh Yadav made a big allegation on the BJP through a tweet and even said that it is being brought for personal benefit.
