Bilaspur. The dispute over the promotion of the Head of Forest Force of Chhattisgarh has reached the High Court. The court has sought a reply from the central and state governments on this. The matter will be heard after two weeks.

Bhupesh government had given a representation to IFS K Jain. Apart from this, a complaint was also made to the Central Forest and Climate Ministry. When no action was taken on the complaint, Sudhir Agarwal and others filed a petition in CAT.

V Srinivas Rao, a 90 batch officer, was made the head of forest force. While Rao is the most junior among the five PCCFs. The most senior PCCF Sudhir Agarwal and the other PCCF CS Amitabh opposed his promotion. Last month, CAT passed an order declaring Srinivas Rao’s promotion as per rules.

Against this, PCCF (Wild Life) Sudhir Agarwal filed a petition in the High Court. The High Court bench comprising Justice Rajni Dubey and Justice Sanjay Kumar Agarwal heard the case on Monday. The court has issued notice to the Central and State governments on this matter and ordered them to respond.
