Naiduniya representative, Ujjain: The second procession of Lord Mahakal started from Mahakal temple on Monday in the month of Shravan. Before setting out for the tour, Lord Mahakal’s Chandramouleshwar form was worshipped in the Sabha Mandap. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel also worshipped Lord Mahakaleshwar with his wife in the Sabha Mandap. Baba Mahakal set out for the tour riding in the form of Chandramouleshwar in a silver palanquin and Manmohan on an elephant.

In the second procession of Sawan today, devotees will get to see Lord Mahakal in two forms. Avantikanath has come out to give darshan to the devotees in the form of Chandramouleshwar in a silver palanquin and Manmohan on an elephant. As a representative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Minister Prahlad Patel will walk in the procession from Mahakal temple to Shipra Ghat. He will perform the Abhishek Puja of the Lord on the Shipra Ghat.
Bhopal’s police band Dutt will perform
The procession also includes a group of tribal artists from Chhindwara and Dindori. At Dutt Akhara Ghat on the banks of Shipra, a police band of 350 jawans from Bhopal will present melodious songs of devotion to Lord Shiva. This year, under the plan of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, tribal artists are being included in every procession, who will make the procession even more special with their cultural presentations.
