Ranchi: Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister of State Santosh Gangwar has been appointed as the new Governor of Jharkhand. Santosh Gangwar has been an eight-time MP from Bareilly. The President has entrusted him with this important responsibility by appointing him as the Governor.

Santosh was a Member of Parliament continuously from 1989 to 2004. Only in 2009, Congress stopped his victory chariot. After that, he was again elected MP continuously in 2014 and 2019. He was also a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Modi governments at the Centre.
