Baras police arrested the daughter-in-law, son and grandson who had beaten their mother-in-law to death over gold coins and land division, near Chandupura sub-station on Friday-Saturday night at around 1 am. After the incident, all three had fled from the village. And were coming to Bhind on foot at night. On Saturday, the police presented all three in the court, from where they were sent to jail.

Let us tell you that 95-year-old Sukhdevi Baghel, wife of Ramnath Baghel, resident of Khairoli police station Barason, has two sons. Elder son Kalyan Baghel and younger son Kalicharan Baghel. Sukhdevi was living with elder son Kalyan Baghel for the last 30-35 years. Sukhdevi was lying on her cot at around 9 o’clock on Friday morning. Younger son Kalicharan Baghel’s wife Leela Baghel had a dispute with her mother-in-law over gold coins and land division and Leela attacked her mother-in-law with a stick.
During this time Kalicharan remained sitting on the cot near his mother. After the fight, the old woman’s grandson Brijesh brought his grandmother to the district hospital for treatment. Where the old woman died during treatment. On the report of Brijesh’s son Kalyan Baghel, the police had registered a case of murder against Kalicharan Baghel, Lilavati Baghel and Mukesh Baghel.
