Naiduniya representative, Indore. Special care is being taken of the tourists coming to Umrikheda Amusement Park spread over 190 hectares. Soon tourists will get a chance to enjoy tribal cuisine here. The forest department has considered providing dal-paniye and dal-bati for them in the park. A proper kitchen is being built here.
Tourists visiting the park will have to order in advance to taste the tribal cuisine. For this, the forest department will soon issue a booking number on which food will have to be ordered 24 hours in advance. Based on that, the committee will prepare the food. Although daal-paani is available in the park right now, but no kitchen has been built for this.
But now the department is specially building a kitchen. The interior of the kitchen is being made keeping in mind the rural scenario. According to the officials, the dishes available in other restaurants will not be available. Only dishes famous in tribal areas have been given importance. Vegetables available in rural areas will also be cooked. The committee itself will decide the menu of the dishes.
waiting for the budget
The Forest Department and Eco Tourism have proposed to carry out the construction work at a cost of approximately seven crore rupees. 15 cottages, 15 Swiss tents and 20 other tents will be built at a cost of Rs 1 crore 45 lakh. But budget allocation is awaited for this.
The amount was announced six months ago, but the process has not been completed yet. Children’s park, watch towers, herbs park, open air theatre are also to be built in the park with Rs 85 lakh. Trekking trail, cycling trail, lotus pound and landscaping work will be done with Rs 1 crore 05 lakh.
Mud houses will be built
There is a plan to arrange for overnight stay in the park. For this, a mud house will be constructed there. So that tourists can stay in a rural environment. At present, the booking of mud houses will also be done by the forest committee.
Cycle track too
Apart from safari, tourists will also be able to enjoy cycling in the park. After the rains, the department has decided to start the construction of a two-km cycle track in the park. An agency is being searched for this. According to officials, bicycles will be arranged for tourists in the park.
