Major accident in Mandir Hasaud, 2 students of the capital’s medical college died, 5 seriously injured

Tukeshwar Lodhi, Mandir Hasaud. A tragic road accident has taken place in Mandir Hasaud of the capital Raipur. This morning, two cars collided at Jindal Steel Chowk near Mandir Hasaud toll naka on National Highway 53. In the accident, two youths travelling in the same car died on the spot. While 5 youths have been seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. The deceased youths are said to be students of RIMS Medical College. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating.

According to the information, this morning, two cars collided fiercely near Mandir Hasaud toll naka on Nagpur-Kolkata National Highway 53. Eyewitnesses told that a total of 04 youths were riding in Hyundai Creta no. GJ 09 BF 3996 and were going from Raipur to Mandir Hasaud. On the other hand, 03 youths were riding in Suzuki company car no. CG 17 KU 4250 and were going from Mandir Hasaud to Raipur. Near Jindal Steel Chowk, the speeding Creta car went out of control and while crossing the divider, hit the Suzuki car on the other side of the road.

The incident was so severe that the Creta car jumped in the air and overturned and two youths riding in it died on the spot. The body of one of the deceased was badly stuck in the car, which was taken out by the Mandir Hasaud police with the help of toll naka employees after a lot of effort. 5 people are seriously injured in this incident. They have been admitted to Raipur Mekahara with the help of toll naka employees. Both the youths who lost their lives in the accident are said to be students of RIMS, who were studying medicine. At present, Mandir Hasaud police has started investigation by doing Panchnama action and has sent the bodies for post-mortem.
