Raipur. Surprise checking was done for vehicles and suspicious persons on the roads late at night in the capital. In this action, all the senior officers including Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh and police station in-charges came out on the road.
During this time, checking was done at dozens of points from 8 pm on Saturday night till late night. Blockades were put in place in the countryside in the evening. Thousands of vehicles were checked at each point. Along with this, preventive action was taken against dozens of suspicious people and heavy fines were imposed along with confiscation of vehicles on those who were drunk and driving.
