Bahraich. The victim along with her family has sat on a dharna in the Payagpur area of Bahraich district after the accused were not arrested in the rape case of a teenager two years ago. The victim says that the police are not arresting the accused who raped her and made her pregnant, while the accused are pressurizing the victim’s family to hush up the case.
Let us tell you that a teenager resident of Aminpur in Payagpur police station area alleges that about two years ago a woman and three young men kidnapped her and took her to Sirsa in Haryana, where she was gang-raped. Four months ago, on the complaint of her father, Payagpur police brought the teenager from Haryana and lodged a case and sent two accused to jail, but the victim’s family says that three accused are still absconding, whom the police are not arresting. For this reason, she has sat on a dharna with her family.

In this case, Additional Superintendent of Police Ramanand Kushwaha says that based on the complaint of the victim, two accused have already been sent to jail, while others are being searched for. An order for attachment of the accused is also being obtained from the court.
