Akhilesh Yadav assured the people of Uttar Pradesh that his political acumen is no less than that of his father Mulayam Singh Yadav. He along with Rahul Gandhi stopped Modi’s Rath Yatra in UP.

Rahul Gandhi did not give up despite the failures in the last two Lok Sabha elections and the poor performance in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He completed the Bharat Jodo Yatra from South to North and the Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai. It was the result of his courage and patience that this time the BJP fell far behind the figure of 272.

Apart from these, Mamata Banerjee, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, Sitaram Yechury, Jairam Ramesh, Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, and Pawan Khera also played important roles.

    BJP’s ‘misconception’ has been shattered

After the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had set a target of crossing 400 seats for NDA. But Rahul Gandhi’s visits and the strategies of the opposition shattered BJP’s ‘hypocrisy’. When the results came on June 4, there was disappointment in the BJP camp. However, BJP won 240 seats and NDA got enough majority to form the government. But the question is whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be able to run the government for the third time without any worries like the previous two governments.

    The ‘boys’ outshone the ‘elders’

People considered Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav as children in politics, but with their determination, dedication and confidence they united the opposition parties. They were also the ‘Chanakyas’ of politics who were trying to rein in Modi.

    Impact of PDA on Hindutva

To challenge Modi’s Hindutva, the opposition prepared a road map of PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority). It was not easy to limit the BJP to 33 seats in Uttar Pradesh, but the duo of Rahul and Akhilesh did it.

The success of the leftist ideology

Sitaram Yechury and Jairam Ramesh helped Rahul Gandhi to stand strong with the INDIA alliance. Rahul Gandhi’s travels and his easy style attracted the public.

    The spirit of Mamta Banerjee

Mamata Banerjee has ruled Bengal single-handedly by defeating the Left Front. After a confrontation with Narendra Modi in the 2021 assembly elections, Mamata recited Chandi against the slogan of Jai Shri Ram and deflated the BJP.

The power of Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray

NDA suffered a major setback in Maharashtra. BJP had made inroads into Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar’s NCP. But Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar strengthened the INDIA block, which caused a loss to BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.

    Mallikarjun Kharge’s Kharge

Mallikarjun Kharge strengthened the Congress at the organizational level. Being a Dalit face, the Congress got the support of Dalits. He strengthened the concept of PDA.

    Contribution of Priyanka Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi acknowledged the important contribution of his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the election victory. Priyanka played an important role in making the Congress candidates win in Rae Bareli and Amethi.

In this way, these faces of the INDIA alliance together stopped Modi’s Rath Yatra in the 2024 elections.
