It is being told that the girl was very upset due to the threats of Inspector Anil Tomar. The Inspector was threatening to send the girl to jail.
Ruchi Singh, a young woman from Shanti Nagar locality of the city’s Kotwali area, is employed as a clerk in ICICI Bank. The victim’s mother says that the inspector was constantly threatening to send her daughter to jail. Fed up with this, she took this step of suicide. The young woman is currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS. Her condition is said to be out of danger. The young woman was going home from the bank two days before Holi this year. Then her Alto car collided with a rickshaw. The rickshaw driver had filed a case against Ruchi Singh.

For investigating this case, Inspector Anil Tomar posted in the city police station had called Ruchi several times to record her statement. Ruchi’s mother Shobha Singh alleges that the inspector had threatened her that if she did not give a statement, she would go to jail. According to Shobha Singh, her daughter consumed poison after being hurt by this.
