Before this match, strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai conducted a light running session. So that the Indian players can get accustomed to the time zone of America. Soham Desai told BCCI, “We did not have any practice session today and the purpose of this field session is to acclimatize the body to the time zone and prepare ourselves mentally for the upcoming challenges. This is what we are working on at the moment.”

The first batch of Indian cricketers including captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid reached New York a few days ago. Vice-captain Hardik Pandya also joined his team on Wednesday. All the players are sweating it out in the nets for the match.

During today’s running session, captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and travel options Shubman Gill and Khalil Ahmed participated. However, Virat Kohli and Rinku Singh were not seen during this time, as both have not reached America yet, according to sources, both the players can leave for America on May 30.
