Industry Minister wrote a letter to CM to give compensation to 80 families coming under the purview of conveyor belt expansion

Korba. The houses of 80 families who have been occupying the land of the irrigation department for years are coming under the purview of the expansion of the conveyor belt. Commerce, Industry and Labor Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan has written a letter to the Chief Minister of the state Vishnudev Sai, Chairman of the Electricity Company, Chief Engineer, Collector Korba, Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department and demanded compensation and settlement for all the occupants. It is worth noting that the production company is to expand Korba West. For this, the conveyor belt is also being expanded.

Minister Devangan has drawn attention in his letter and written that people have been living on the land of the irrigation department in Darri for many years by building about 75 to 80 houses, they are getting affected. Since 98 government quarters are also getting affected due to the expansion of the conveyor belt, they are being given quarters at other places. On the same lines, people living on the land of the irrigation department should also be given compensation and housing facilities. Otherwise, they will face serious financial and residential problems. Minister Devangan has demanded compensation and arrangements to be given to the people living on the land in view of the said public interest problem.
