UP Lok Sabha Election Phase 5 Voting: Voting continues on 14 seats, this is the percentage of voting done so far

UP Lok Sabha Election Phase 5 Voting. In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting is going on from 7 am on 14 seats of Uttar Pradesh. Voting is going on in Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj and Gonda. Apart from this, voting is also taking place for Lucknow East Assembly by-election. Till 5 pm, 55.80 percent voting took place in 14 seats of Uttar Pradesh. The highest voting percentage was in Barabanki at 64.86 percent. The lowest turnout was in Lucknow at 49.88 percent.

Let us tell you that in the fifth phase, voting is taking place on 49 seats in six states and two union territories. The political future of 11 sitting BJP MPs including four Union Ministers is to be decided on the 14 Lok Sabha seats of UP. These also include high-profile Rae Bareli and Amethi seats, from where former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Smriti Irani are in the fray respectively. Let us tell you that out of these 14 seats, BJP is in control of 13. Whereas Congress was able to save only Rae Bareli seat in the last elections.

Rajnath Singh and Ravidas Mehrotra in Lucknow

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is contesting from Lucknow to win the elections for the fourth time. His contest is against sitting SP MLA (from Lucknow Central) Ravidas Mehrotra. Whereas BSP has made Sarkar Ali its candidate from Lucknow. In the last elections in 2019, BJP’s Rajnath Singh defeated SP’s Poonam Sinha in Lucknow.

Contest between Smriti Irani and KL Sharma in Amethi

In Amethi, Union Minister Smriti Irani, who defeated Rahul Gandhi in 2019, is claiming to win for the second time. At the same time, Congress has fielded KL Sharma, an associate of the Gandhi family. At the same time, BSP has fielded Nanhe Singh Chauhan this time. In the last election, BJP’s Smriti Irani defeated Congress’s Rahul Gandhi in Amethi.

Rahul Gandhi and Dinesh Pratap Singh contest in Rae Bareli

Congress has fielded Rahul Gandhi on the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh. BJP has made Dinesh Pratap Singh its candidate on this seat. Whereas BSP has made Thakur Prasad its candidate. In the last election, Congress’s Sonia Gandhi defeated BJP’s Dinesh Pratap in Rae Bareli.

Mohanlalganj Kaushal Kishore and RK Chaudhary

Mohanlalganj Su. Union Minister of State Kaushal Kishore has also contested the seat for the third time. Whereas SP candidate of India Alliance, RK Chaudhary has given his full strength for victory. Bahujan Samaj Party has nominated Rajesh Kumar alias Manoj Pradhan as its candidate on this seat reserved for Scheduled Castes. In the last election in 2019, BJP’s Kaushal Kishore won the Mohanlalganj seat from Congress’s R.K. Chaudhary was defeated.

Bhanupratap Verma and Narayan Das Ahiwar in Jalaun

Jalaun Ms. Narayan Das Ahirwar of SP-Congress alliance is contesting the sitting BJP MP Bhanu Pratap Verma on the seat. Whereas BSP has fielded Suresh Chandra Gautam. In the last election, Bhanu Pratap Verma of BJP had defeated Ajay Singh Pankaj of BSP in Jalaun.

Anurag Sharma and Pradeep Jain in Jhansi

BJP has fielded Anurag Sharma in Jhansi. Under the SP-Congress alliance, this seat went to Congress. The party has fielded its former MP Pradeep Jain. In the last election, BJP’s Anurag Sharma defeated SP’s Shyam Sundar Singh in Jhansi.

Pushpendra Chandel and Ajendra Singh Lodhi in Hamirpur

In Hamirpur, BJP has made Kunwar Pushpendra Chandel its candidate. Whereas SP has fielded Ajendra Singh Lodhi and BSP has fielded innocent Kumar Dixit. In the last election, BJP’s Pushpendra Chandle had defeated BSP’s Dilip Kumar Singh in Hamirpur.

In Banda, BJP defeated R.K. Singh Patel has been made the candidate. Samajwadi Party has made Krishna Devi Patel its candidate. Whereas BSP has fielded Mayank Dwivedi. In the last elections, BJP’s R.K. Singh Patel had defeated SP’s Shyama Charan Gupta.

Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Naresh Uttam Patel in Fatehpur

In Fatehpur, BJP has made Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti its candidate. SP has fielded former state president Naresh Uttam Patel. In the last election, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti of BJP had defeated Rakesh Sachan of Congress in Fatehpur.

Vinod Sonkar and Indrajit Saroj in Kaushambi

BJP has fielded Vinod Sonkar in Kaushambi. Similarly, SP has placed its bet on Pushpendra Saroj, son of National General Secretary and MLA Indrajit Saroj. Whereas BSP has made Shubham Narayan Gautam its candidate. In the 2019 elections, BJP’s Vinod Kumar Sonkar defeated SP’s Inderjit Saroj in Kaushambi.

Rajrani Rawat and Tanuj Punia in Barabanki

After the current MP Upendra Rawat withdrew from the election fray in Barabanki, BJP has placed its bet on Rajrani Rawat. Tanuj Punia is in the fray from the SP-Congress alliance. BSP has fielded Manish Singh Sachan. In the last election, BJP’s Upendra Rawat defeated SP’s Ram Sagar Rawat in Barabanki.

Lallu Singh and Avdesh Prasad in Faizabad

BJP has made Lallu Singh its candidate in Faizabad. SP has fielded Avdesh Prasad. Whereas BSP has made Sachchidanand Pandey its candidate. In the 2019 elections, BJP’s Lallu Singh defeated SP’s Anand Sen in Faizabad.

In place of Brij Bhushan, accused in the sexual harassment case in Kaiserganj, BJP has now given ticket to his son Karan Bhushan Sharan Singh. SP has fielded Bharat Ram Mishra. Whereas BSP has made Narendra Pandey its candidate. In the last election, BJP’s Brijbhushan Sharan Singh had defeated BSP’s Chandradev Ram Yadav in Kaiserganj.

In Gonda, BJP has fielded Kirti Vardhan Singh. SP has fielded Shreya Verma. BSP has fielded Saurabh Kumar Mishra. In the last election in 2019, BJP’s Kirti Vardhan Singh defeated SP’s Vinod Kumar in Gonda.
