Let us tell you that Dinesh Pratap Singh, who was included in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet as Minister of State (Independent Charge), became a member of the Legislative Council from Congress for the first time in 2010 and for the second time in 2016. In 2018, he left Congress and joined BJP. BJP had fielded him against Sonia Gandhi from Rae Bareli in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Dinesh contested the elections with full strength. Due to her candidature, Sonia Gandhi’s vote graph came down considerably.
