Former President of Bilaspur Press Club Shashikant Konher passes away, CM Sai expressed grief

Bilaspur. Former president of Bilaspur Press Club and senior journalist Shashikant Konher passed away on Monday evening. His last journey will leave from his residence Chatapara Konher Udyan for Muktidham Sarkanda at 10 am on Tuesday, April 23. He was the elder brother of lecturer Prashant Konher and father of Pratik and Paritosh Konher.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has expressed deep condolences on the demise of Shashikant Konher, former president of Bilaspur Press Club and former editor of Lokswar TV. Expressing his condolences to the bereaved family members, the Chief Minister has prayed for peace of the deceased soul.

It is known that Shashikant Konher was unwell for the last several years. Recently his health had worsened, due to which he had to be admitted to the hospital for several days. After discharge, he was recuperating at home with the help of oxygen. On Saturday evening he suddenly fell unconscious and was immediately admitted to a private clinic. Treatment was started after being placed in the ventilator. But his body did not cooperate. On Monday evening, doctors took him out of the ventilator and declared him dead. There is a wave of mourning in the journalist world, Misabandi, RSS and other organizations due to his demise.
