CM Kejriwal gets work from jail: Petition filed in High Court, sought these facilities

Political Desk. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sought work from jail in the money laundering case related to Delhi Liquor Scam. A lawyer has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding permission to CM Arvind Kejriwal to run the government from jail. Also demanded to provide all the facilities in the jail which are provided in a normal situation.

Actually the petition has been filed by lawyer Shrikant Prasad. He has also demanded from the court to direct the DG of Tihar Jail to make necessary arrangements for the Chief Minister. However, the court has not decided whether to hear the petition or not.

In this petition, Shrikant Prasad has demanded that the court should direct the DG of the jail to make adequate arrangements for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the jail itself, so that he can talk to Delhi MLAs and ministers through video conferencing. The lawyer has argued in his petition that the current situation in Delhi is a violation of the fundamental rights given to the citizens under Articles 21, 14 and 19 of the Constitution.

Shrikant Prasad has claimed in his petition that Kejriwal is in jail due to political malice. He said that the Delhi government has done the best work in the country in matters like health and education. Therefore, permission should be given to run the government from jail.
