Deoria. A woman threw boiling water on her sleeping husband at night. He got badly burnt when boiling water suddenly fell on his body. When the husband raised an alarm over this, the sister-in-law also came and along with her brother and father, beat him and pushed him from the terrace. Due to this the husband got injured in his leg. Police reached the information and admitted the burnt young man to the emergency of Deoria Medical College, where he is undergoing treatment.
According to the information, 35-year-old Ashish Kumar Rai, resident of Lilkar of Sikanderpur police station of Ballia, was married to Akshaybar Rai on May 27 last year at Chherihawan in Bankata police station area of Deoria. On the evening of 13 April, he came to his in-laws house with his wife. Ashish says that his in-laws confiscated his mobile and motorcycle keys. When he asked for the keys, he said you should stay today.

Ashish agreed to his request and stayed there. Slept there after dinner at night. It is alleged that the wife woke up at around three in the morning and went to the kitchen. There the sister-in-law had already heated water. As soon as she returned to the room, the wife threw boiling water on Aashi. Ashish started suffering badly due to this sudden attack. When he started running towards the terrace making noise, his sister-in-law and father-in-law caught him. It is alleged that all three together beat him.
When Ashish somehow ran away and reached the terrace, his in-laws threw him down from the terrace. This caused injury to his leg. Hearing Ashish’s noise, people nearby gathered there. One of them informed the police. Police reached the spot and took Ashish to the hospital. The accused woman has been taken into custody by the police.
