Mahasamund. The election flying squad team had reached Parsapali on information about illegal storage of liquor. The team members left the vehicle and went to the forest for inspection, upon returning they found that unknown people had set the vehicle on fire. According to the information, a joint team of Revenue, Excise and SST had gone to take action on the information of illegal liquor being made in the forest of Palsapali in Baloda police station area. Leaving the vehicle on the road, the team members proceeded towards the forest, where liquor and Mahua worth about Rs 6 lakh 50 thousand were recovered from the spot along with liquor making items.

While the team members were busy in destroying the liquor and brewing equipment, on the other hand, the flying squad vehicle CG 02 7435 parked on the road was set on fire by unknown people. By the time the team members returned after taking action, their car was completely burnt. On receiving information about the incident, SDM, Tehsildar and police reached the spot.
