Sex Racket. The prostitution business in the state is showing no sign of stopping. Police have exposed a sex racket by raiding a restaurant. Police have arrested a total of 12 people including five young man-girl couples and the hotel owner and manager on the spot. Police have recovered objectionable items, four vehicles and other items from them.
Joint action has been taken by SOG and police team in a restaurant near Bhanwarnath under Kandharapur police station area of Azamgarh district. Superintendent of Police, City Shailendra Lal said that action has been taken against everyone under the Immoral Prostitution Act. He said that for several days there was information that a sex racket was being run in a restaurant located in Bhanwarnath area of Kandhrapur police station area.

Acting on this information, the police took action and arrested five young men and five girls, along with hotel owner Vishal Singh and manager Sarvesh Yadav. Crime number 87/24 has been registered in Kandhrapur police station under sections 3,4,5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1956.
