Dr. Sanjeev Balyan had defeated RLD President Chaudhary Ajit Singh in 2019, while in 2014 he had defeated BSP sitting MP Kadir Rana by more than 5 lakh votes. This time SP has made former MP Harendra Malik the party candidate from Muzaffarnagar seat. There will be a close contest between BJP and SP in this election.
