After years, police raid on scrapyard in CG, huge amount of suspicious scrap seized, here deals are made from needle to ship.

Ravi Goyal, Sakti. On Friday, Sakti police formed different teams and raided three junkyards. In which the police found a huge amount of scrap and two trucks filled with scrap from Kallu Scrapyard of Rajapara. After which the police took action and seized two trucks full of junk and took them to the police station. Apart from this, the police raided the scrap shop of Mehmood Khan in Ward No. 5, where the police found a huge amount of scrap in the godown. A gas cutter machine and cylinder were also found kept along with it.

The police asked the cabbies for bills of scrap goods, which they could not produce. After which the police took seizure action. Apart from this, a police contingent went towards Bagbudhwa village where the police also found suspicious iron scrap at the hideout of Gidheshwar Gabel. Which the team confiscated.

Sakti TI Vivek Sharma said that Sakti police received information that illegal stolen goods were being sold under the cover of big scrap yards in the city. Vehicles are being illegally cut up and sold as scrap. On this information, Sakti Municipal Inspector Vivek Sharma informed SDOP Sakti Manish Kanwar and under his guidance formed 3 teams and raided 3 scrap yards of the city which were operating in Rajapara, Purenapara and Bagbudhwa. During the search, the police also recovered huge quantities of suspicious items like household coolers, tin sheets, iron sheets, iron items, channel gates, almirahs and several tons of suspicious items and cutter items loaded in two trucks. In relation to which the yard's operators, Kallu Manihar, Mehmood Khan and Gidheshwar Gabel did not present any document on the spot. On this, the police took further action by seizing the said suspicious goods and trucks. Police said that the value of the seized junk is in lakhs.

Due to political protection, the police did not take any action against them for years. Due to this, stolen goods have also been easily consumed here for a long time. Government office items have been converted into junk and disposed of here with great enthusiasm. As soon as the government changed in Chhattisgarh and after the arrival of new SP in Sakti district, now police raids have been seen on the hideouts of Kabaris.
